We've Made It!

  After 2 and a half days of traveling and a fussy baby on the last day, we have made it Sumter, SC, our new town.  We didn't get to see too much of it today because Allison and we were sick of driving.  We went and saw our new house even though we can't move in for at least a week. 
 The current residents are moving to Germany and waiting for the packers to come.  It was my 1st time to see the house, and I liked it.  I have a lot of painting ahead of me.  The house has nice paint colors but doesn't match any of our stuff. 
  Since we don't have a house to live in, the AF put us up in a hotel in town for the week, or longer.  We weren't too happy with the arrangements since they put us in a small single room.  That wouldn't have been too bad if our baby went to bed when we did, but she goes to bed 3 hours before us and naps 2-3 hrs every afternoon.  My wonderful husband convinced them to give us a suite where the bed is in a different room. 
  We'll see what this week holds since I have no clue where anything is and don't think I can find our house from here.  I have until Tuesday to find the park because I have a play date with one of the MOPS groups in town.

Allison's Words

  Allison has almost doubled her vocabulary over the weekend.  I guess spending time with older cousins paid off.

Today, she also figured out how to get on and off her horse without help, and when I asked, "Who is Allison," she patted her chest.  When I asked, "Who's Mommy," she would pick up my hand and make me pat my chest.  My baby is learning so quickly. :)

Beach Baby

After 3 days of rain, we finally got to go the beach.  Allison loved it!  The pictures don't do her excitement justice.  She wore herself and me out.  She would crawl from the shoreline to the water as far as she could go, and then I would carry her back to the shoreline and start the process all over again.  She also liked crawling the LONG boardwalk over and over again. 

We also went to the aquarium, on the rainiest day.  Allison loved that too.  I didn't get any pictures of her face because she was too excited to look away.  The last picture is her reaching for the dolphin.

Number 2 from scratch

Brandon and I are happy to announce that we are expecting our second baby from scratch.  He or she will make his appearance the beginning of April.  In case you are wondering, Payton came from a starter kit. ;)

New Blog

I'm starting my blog again after popular demand.  Who knew people wanted to hear what I had to say?  The movers are coming tomorrow, so I won't be doing too much updating on here for awhile.  Allison helped me this evening pick out some cookware for the next 2 weeks.
